On June 10, 2025, our team of seven, together with forty-one farmers, had the opportunity to visit the BACONCO Fertilizer Factory, one of the leading private fertilizer manufacturers in Vietnam. The purpose of this visit was to enhance our understanding of modern fertilizer production processes and safety protocols, as well as to build trust among farmers in using the BACONCO fertilizer brand on their farms.
The visit took place at the BACONCO Fertilizer Factory located in Vung Tau City. The group included forty-one farmers and staff members from Rhino Master Company. We were warmly welcomed by the company’s deputy manager, Mr. Didier Pinguet, the plant manager, and the technical team, who provided us with a comprehensive overview of the facility. The plant covers an area of 10 hectares and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for both organic and inorganic fertilizer production.
During the visit, we observed the complete manufacturing process, which included several key stages. First, raw material preparation involved the use of sourced phosphate rock, urea, potash, and other additives. Next, the raw materials were thoroughly mixed and converted into granules using rotary drum granulators. These granules were then dried and cooled to ensure optimal moisture content. Finally, the finished products were screened for size and quality before being packaged for distribution. Throughout the tour, we noted the plant’s strong commitment to safety, with all staff wearing appropriate protective equipment and adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
Several important observations were made during our visit. The company employs advanced automation systems to optimize efficiency and minimize labor costs. Environmental protection is clearly prioritized, as evidenced by the installation of dust collectors and wastewater treatment facilities. Regular quality control checks are conducted to ensure all products meet national and international standards. Additionally, the plant has implemented innovative methods to recycle by-products and reduce waste.
This visit provided valuable insights into fertilizer production in Vietnam, highlighting the significance of technology, quality control, and environmental sustainability within the industry. We appreciate the efforts of BACONCO Fertilizer Company in maintaining high standards and contributing to the country’s agricultural development.
We would like to extend our gratitude to BACONCO Fertilizer Company and Mr. Didier Pinguet for their warm hospitality and for sharing their knowledge with us.
